Our furnace acted up throughout the winter. Tom came out on a couple of different weekends to diagnose issues and show me how to troubleshoot them myself. When we eventually needed to replace the furnace, they gave us a very fair price, offered reasonable financing options, and showed us how to make sure our warranty was set up on the new furnace.

We came home at noon to a furnace not working. It’s a Sunday in December where the outside temperature is 18 degrees F. I checked the circuit breaker, replaced batteries in the thermostat, and cycled off and on. No change, so I called Tom Torrance H & C. It was about 1:00 pm. As we were first-time customers, we didn’t know what to expect. Hoping within the next 24 hours. We were told Tom would call back. Sure enough, five minutes later he called. He said they couldn’t be here until 3:30 pm as he had another commitment before us. He was even apologetic that he couldn’t be here sooner! Really!! In 2-1/2 hours and it’s a Sunday! Surely beat our expectations! Then they arrive at 2:45 pm…or 45 minutes earlier than expected! He did the troubleshooting and replaced the faulty part, and we were back to a warm home. All for a very fair price. I highly recommend this responsive, honest, and professional family-owned and operated business!

My family has used Tom's services for a long time. He was able to repair my parents' early 2000s furnace a few times. He always did good work and explained what needed to be done promptly. He was able to repair the furnace in my old trailer and recommended it be replaced due to the age. He was able to explain the dangers of my current furnace after my move and explained why we shouldn't have anyone install a replacement motor to avoid a house fire. I am now going forward on a full replacement. Tom is a reasonable and knowledgeable HVAC professional and very honest and not looking to put anyone in danger for a quick buck.

I had a better experience with Tom Torrance Heating and Cooling than I did with the first company I called. Tom uses professional tools, equipment, and skill set to immediately pinpoint the issue at hand. The other guys were not as skilled and utilized basic tools. A few days ago my tankless water heater stopped working. I called Tom Torrance Heating & Cooling. He was at my house within one hour. Due to the age of the water heater, I had to have the unit replaced. Tom had to order one and kept in contact with updates. I had my new tankless water heater installed sooner than he said he would have it done. He even called the next day to make sure everything was working the way it was supposed to.
